The Belles’ verdict:
The Polymath: Watsons without question!
“Guardian is like a drug store to me. It does not carry a large cosmetics collection like Watsons so I frequent them only for my medical supplies. On the other hand, Watsons is like an affordable (version of) Sephora. I love my makeup so that makes me a bigger fan of Watsons than Guardian. :)”
The Artist: Guardian~
“I prefer Guardian, I like their new interactive system especially the explorative Play, Trial & Test area where shoppers can try out the latest beauty products and bestsellers. Innovative and informative hair and skin analysis services are also available at various sections of Guardian Plus stores and Guardian also has great new exclusive brands like Boots too!”
The Purist: Watsons~
“I’m a “members” person, and having the Watsons Member card encouraged me to visit Watsons whenever I need to replenish my necessities. Moreover, I get to purchase Bubble Tea at 15% discount with the Watsons card too. Choosing Watsons is due more to personal reason (like how boy band Fahrenheit used to be the ambassador for Watsons Taiwan in the past), so no offense to Guardian!
Fun Fact: Do you know there’s a Watson’s Guardian Pharmacy in Canada? No direct relations between the two companies but it is just amusing to see these competitors’ names being put together as brand names for another pharmacy. LOL
So there you have it, our Watsons versus Guardian showdown. Now that you know a little bit more about your local beauty and health stores, which side are you gonna choose? Let us know which is your favourite in the comments below 🙂
