How are you doing, my pretty ladies? Summer is fast approaching and I thought I’d share some of my summer looks with you. In fact, these are pretty versatile and you don’t necessarily have to wait for summer to arrive in order to rock these styles. Aren’t you just excited to whip out your bikini and soak up the sun?

Being under the sun means makeup may melt away very quickly so I have made these looks to be really simple and my rule of thumb this time is less is more. So let’s dive in, shall we?

What’s hot this summer is the bold wing liner. What we want to create is a sharp line so it’s best to use a liquid eyeliner to get a precise application. For me, I love a good cat eye. So starting from the outer corners, I draw a line outwards and slowly connect back to my eyelids.

Another key point is to pile on loads of mascara and remember to curl them upwards! That’ll definitely make your eyes appear bigger which is always a plus point.

For the lips, we’re going for a bronzey nudey pink. It’s the perfect mixture of not stealing the limelight from the eyes but still able to steal glances with those shimmers on your pout.

Now this look is all about those bright luscious lips. So in order to let those puckers be the star of this show, I have gone neutral once again for the eyes. To look au naturale, I’ve opted for a matte eyeshadow to even out the skin tone on my eyelids.

And once again, it’s all about the lashes. For this look, I’ve used 2 different mascaras to achieve the false lash effect. And if your lashes require a bit more help, don’t be afraid to make use of those fake lashes!

And for the rockstar of this look, we’re going for a fresh watermelon red with shimmers. What we are looking for is colour that portrays young, healthy and kissable lips.

This is something extra but here’s my hairstyle for this look as well! Summers can get really hot and the last thing I want is strands of flyaway sticking to my neck. It’s not a cute sight. So a great way to get your hair out of the way yet still look cute is to create a messy bun!

Unfortunately, my hair is super thin and I can’t create a substantial looking bun without extra help. So I used a bun hair doughnut and it is a god-send to those whose hair is super thin like mine!

Summer is all about having fun, and fun is never complete without pops of colours! So I had to incorporate a unique colour variation within these looks. And I chose to replace the usual dark eyeliners with a bright, minty green! To keep everything pastel and sweet, I chose a milky nude-pink lipgloss to put the look together.

I thought I would share another hairstyle and it’s the braided hairband look. It may look like a lot of effort, but actually it’s really simple! I braided 2 braids from each side of the hair and criss crossed them. Bobby pins are used to pin them in place. That’s it!
